Más de 3.700 personas fueron atendidas por personal sanitario durante el pasado verano en las veinte playas vigiladas del municipio y otras 262 rescatadas, según la memoria del plan de vigilancia y salvamento 2008, difundida por el ayuntamiento.

El informe destaca un "aumento significativo de asistencias y rescates" durante la temporada estival debido "a una mayor presencia de efectivos en las playas", además del hecho de que "no haya habido víctimas de ahogamiento", indicaron fuentes municipales.

Al final, el tiempo no es bueno este fin de semana. El sábado ha amanecido nublado y el domingo se espera alguna lluvia.

Van dos predicciones a más de 7 dias ya acertadas en los dos últimos fines de semana. Ya hay gente en cabo de palos que nos preguntan con humor que tiempo hará el próximo fin de semana. También preguntan como lo averiguamos.

Aunque la previsiones del tiempo no son fiables a 10 días, hay una serie de páginas en Internet(algunas de las cuales ya hemos puesto en el blog) que se acercan mucho en las previsiones.

Realizando un análisis de todas ellas, el grado de acierto es bastante aproximado.

Por ejemplo, nos atrevemos a decir que el próximo fin de semana 24-26 de Octubre, tendremos buen tiempo. Con bastante sol el sábado y el domingo.

Tras varios fines de semana con mal tiempo en Octubre, ya tocaba buen tiempo y sol. Sin embargo, ahora el buen tiempo no es garantía de que el Plan "Cabo de Palos Fin de Semana" pueda realizarse en esas fechas.
